about us

808 Ministries is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization incorporated on August 8, 2014.  Since that date, 808 Ministries has relentlessly pursued God’s plan for the ministry, despite financial obstacles, distance, or sacrifice of time. We are passionate about finding needs and meeting them in the name of Jesus Christ, and we are known for placing priority on meeting people where they are, whether for prayer, physical need, or financial help.

Originally a group of worship leaders, 808 Ministries’ identity has evolved over its first three years as a non-profit.  Whereas in its first two years, the ministry was predominantly focused on evangelism through worship, in this past year (2017) we began to place special priority on “front lines ministry,” specifically evangelism in neighborhoods that are ravaged by drugs or violence.

Our new vision is to see the hope of the gospel infiltrate the darkest areas and for the lost to be saved, equipped, and mobilized in Christ to shake the world for the glory of God. Despite the evolution of our identity, the broader mission has stayed the same:  “Proclaim the Word.  Let them Hear.  Shake the World.” (Luke 8:08)

Our three main areas of impact are "Compassion for the Community," our monthly outreach event, "The Grounds," our monthly community-wide bible study, and "Revive," our annual night of hope and freedom for our community.  Check out our events page and be a part of what God is doing through 808!

Compassion for the community

808 Ministries extends love, compassion, prayer, and practical help to the hurting and broken in our communities through a monthly outreach event called "Compassion for the Community." These events are held at a different locations each month and each event differs based on the needs of the area. If you would like to get involved or find out more about these events, contact us below or see our calendar to come to a "Compassion for the Community" event and see firsthand the positive impact made in our communities.

The Grounds

"The Grounds" is a monthly, community-wide worship and training Bible study held at different churches with the goals of equipping saints and unifying the body of Christ. This Bible study is for anyone and everyone and is in obedience to the Great Commission found in Matthew 28 to not only make disciples but to teach them to obey the commands of the Lord.

"REVIVE" is a night of hope and freedom for our community, including free dinner for 500 guests, worship, speaking, and revival. We invite other ministries, charities, and churches from all over Troup County and the surrounding areas to join our mission. Our next "REVIVE" service will be held in October of 2018. We will have more details coming soon.
